The truth is that I rarely-almost never watch TV, and when I do I love a good movie or series. I downloaded the whole season on iTunes, and I could not stop! My sister had suggested me to watch this, last week. I was completely sucked in on the first episode, completely and utterly mesmerized. I enjoyed very much the cinematography, and found out that although the book was originally set on the Northern beaches of Sydney, and then the mini-series was translated to Monterey California. I downloaded most of the soundtracks, too. It talks about problems that real life people face, themes of domestic violence, family dysfunction and secrets, as each character seem to be holding a burden and want to keep for themselves (for the sake of whom?). Intrigue, dark humour, beautiful pacific coast scenes, sex and scandal. Really good performances.
