I love doing something for Father’s Day. If I can make something special great and if the kids are around to create it, so much better. Food and Drinks are always a good idea to create atmosphere.
This is our first time we traveled to Hawaii. Spent a week surrounded by friends and family, but sadly Hilario was not here to join. He is working his way up to becoming a polo player, so he’s been very responsible and committed so far that makes me very proud that he decided to stay with the horses.
Letting the kids take over the creative side was awesome fun, and always feels good to have some help around. We decided to make a fun brunch, and do a Hawaiian graffiti (that’s what they decíded to call it) and surprise the dads in our group with something simple and totally made by the kids.
The whole process was the most fun, and we the adults, were there only to help out.
We made brunch on a table decorated by the children and got all the tipical souvenirs from Hawaii. And let me tell you: it was perfect, and I loved the frittata made by Chef Noah from Puako Provisions . It was so good that I asked him to send the recipie! It was amazing!!
Arugula and goat cheese frittata
- 1 dozen eggs 2 cups milk Whisk together and season with salt and pepper In a deep non stick pan sautee 3 potatoes
- 1tsp garlic 1 onion. Until soft Spray pan with pan spray make sure to spray the edged of pan well. Add eggs 1 cup or fresh arugula and
- 1 cup fresh goat cheese and sprinkle with parmesan cheese
- put it in a hot oven (375 degree) bake until firm in the middle for approximately 25min and let cool for 10 min. Flip it out on to a serving dish and cut sprinkle fresh goat cheese tomatoes and basil on top before serving et voila!”

¡Hola!
Wow! what a great way to celebrate father’s day!!! There’s so much to celebrate, fathers (or any paternal figure <3 ). I love celebrations, but I think I can really get better at it –and ironically, my 73 yr old father is a whole lotta fun –a walking party: gotta learn from him!
I am going to try the frittata! I tried your banana bread recipe, and it was a total success! (couldn't make the granola, bc my husband bought like 7 kg of granola…)
cheers,
L.
Simply delightful.
I really enjoy seeing your family smiling and so happy.
There is good in the world!
As for Hialrio i know what that feels like. one day they just fly away.
it’s hard in the beginning. It’s ok though. They have their independent lives to live and that’s a good thing.
