My first priority is to be comfortable in my own skin because my confidence is everything. When I feel good about myself, I don’t care about anything else. So I’m not going to fight the fact that I love clothes in an easy, crisp color palette, and I only wear the ones that make me feel good. How many times have we all worn over and over again those favorite pieces of clothing that make the difference between looking okay and looking fabulous?
Those tight, tight jeans that I had to lie on the floor to get into are forever banished from my closet. No! I won’t want to subject myself to that kind of torture anymore because I love me more than that. My body dutifully carries me around all day every day, so I need to be considerate of and look after it.
Are we all on the same page here?!
My skin I want looking smooth, bright and hydrated. To achieve this, I cleanse every once in a while, drink fresh juices every two or three days, and pay lots of attention to the food I’m putting inside my body. Also, I drink boatloads of water throughout the day and have a carafe on my nightstand for those parched midnight moments.
To add to that, a part of my regimen that I could never give up are the lemon-ginger shots I down every morning on an empty stomach, It keeps my immune system strong. And if I come down with the flu, I know I’ll heal faster. A strong body heals faster than a weak one, right?
On the outside of my body, I enjoy using coconut oil on my skin after showering. Believe it or not, the coconut oil also goes on my cuticles, hair and scalp.
