England Was Sunbathing
England is a beautiful country, we all know that. You love it even during its gray, rainy days. But when the sun is out, England becomes a whole different level of beautiful. And last weekend — the Windsor wedding weekend, of course — perfect weather arrived to grace the heady occasion.
In Great Windsor Park you could see the trees and flowers stretching themselves up tall, almost as if they were feeling proud, to soak up the precious rays of the sun. This was the invigorating type of energy in the air as the wedding unfolded.
When Nacho and I woke up in the morning of the day, we thought how lucky England was to have a royal wedding under such gorgeous blue skies.
An Historic Moment
Upon our arrival at the ceremony, we were taken by how breathtakingly beautiful St. George’s Chapel had been dressed up. Every detail had been thought of, including the flowers crowning the entry doors. Great Windsor Park was looking its best on Saturday. An historic moment was about to happen.
Argentine Flag Colors
I chose to wear a simple, light blue, silk dress. Given the formality of the occasion and the fact that England can be rainy, I thought that three-quarter length sleeves would be a wise choice. Acheval Pampa made the dress and the hat I paired it with was accented with the colors of my Argentine flag, turquoise and white. My head adornment worked ideally well with the monochrome blue palette I had going with the dress. My shoes were perfectly comfortable and added a modern look. Jacquemus { or you can check out this link if you’re in the USA } is the shoe designer, and it has been on my radar lately.
Beautiful Baubles
The jewelry I wore was by Pomellato, a designer that I have loved for a long time. Wearing pieces from both the Bahia collection (earrings, necklace and ring) and Tango Collection (bracelets) made for a winning combination, don’t you think? What I love the most about this line is that it allows you to be creative as you play around with the different collections. The jewelry also has a simple, yet sophisticated, look.
What’s a Lounge Suit?
Nacho opted to wear a lounge suit { here } by Ralph Lauren per the palace invitation’s dress code. “Dress: Uniform, Morning Coat or Lounge Suit.”
Tears of Happiness
The ceremony, which you may have seen live, was so special. Luckily, I was wearing waterproof mascara because when I saw the bride walk up the aisle I couldn’t help crying with happiness for her.
I wish the newly marrieds all my best and much happiness.

Dear Delfina, thank you for sharing your story And a bit of inside scoop on the royal wedding , I was up at 5:30 am USA time watching .. it was magnificent seeing you and Nacho on TV … I was so excited I had a feeling you would be there and your dress was so elegant and nacho looked handsome as ever you both looked stunning SINCERELY LISA ODDO
Thank you for sharing!!!
You looked stunning! I love the jewelry and the deess, the cut of that dress is gorgeous… timeless. I’m sure you’ll cherish this memory!!
I was also very moved by the wedding, even watching on YouTube wearing my PJs. I normally don’t pay much attention to these events. I normally obsess on the bride’s dresses (designer fabric, etc.) and let my heart melt with the cuteness of little children helping the bride, and quickly and forget about it… but his one was different…. there was something in their eyes and they way they looked at each other that made me think only the two of them in the church. I can’t really put it into words, but I felt positivity… warmth…
And… the bishop’s sermon!!! I was all: “replay, pause replay”. Really.
?

Ay, los zapatos son asimétricos?!! No me había fijado en lo más divertido de tu look, ante tal solemnidad (que también me encanta).
Wait, asymmetrical shoes?? I love it. Such a wink wink among such solemnity (which I enjoy, too)
PS: Did you miss me and my double comments? LOL! ??
Thank you for sharing the royal wedding with us…it was magical. You looked beautiful in the blue dress…very elegant.
I have a question…my son is treating me to the veuve cliquot polo classic June 2 and I really wanted to wear my blackwatch polo top with linen capris and sandals…is that ok?? Thank you…Carol???
The Princess of Wales theatre.
Saludos!
